Have the government pay for financial planning
- 2 Comment
I just got a package in the mail from the government which was packed with free information about all sorts of stuff. Best of all is that it was already paid for… with my tax money. Included was information about…
- Retirement Planning
- Money Skills for All Ages
- Fighting Fraud
- Buying Life Insurance
- Mutual Funds
- Health and Wellness
- Saving and Investing
- Variable Annuities
- Saving for College
- Becoming an Entrepreneur
- Identity Theft
- Dietary Supplements
- How to Buy a Home
- And much more…
In fact, the 2008 Consumer Action Handbook was well worth taking the time to order. It contained information about almost every major retailer, bank, insurance agency, car dealership, etc and how to contact their offices regarding issues with any of their products and services. It also had the phone numbers for the Better Business Bureaus in each state as well as tips on how to deal with problems with products and services.
I’m overwhelmed as to how much information I was sent. And you can get this same information as well.
To order it, go to www.pueblo.gsa.gov and order the information in the different categories listed. Some information packets cost a minimal amount of $.50 to $2, but much of it is free. There was no shipping fees. I literally got all of my information for free. I may go back and order some of the low cost items as this is honestly good information.
Hey, if your taxes are paying for it, you might as well take advantage of it.

Thanks CJ. I will definitely be ordering this.
Also, the CFP Board of Standards is offering free one-on-one personal financial planning in DC and Miami this fall. Go to their website for details.
